You know what? I don't think rock music is going to die, to fade back to folk and classical… if we still have the skill and complexity of classical music (and the style is still alive… neo-classical, anyone?), we shall still have that of rock.

Yeah, I have to agree with you on that one. Rock incorporates and builds on folk and classical, and introduces many new stylistic methods. Sure, there is lame rock music, as in any genre. Sure, some of it is flash-in-the-pan, and not going to endure. But I agree that rock isn't going to fall by the wayside. Comments, Mr. Barley? Lulz.
